One of the reasons some people become atheists is that they say: “I was in a difficult situation, I prayed to God and pleaded, but He didn’t answer me. The children died, and my father had a problem, even though God promised to answer prayers.”
So I had great doubt, and I left the religion.

Brothers, there is a point we must understand, which is that there is a difference between answering a prayer and fulfilling a need.
٥دGod certainly answers prayers, definitely— as long as you pray correctly, the prayer is certainly answered.
But answering a prayer has three forms.
The first form is fulfilling a need, for example, saying, “Oh God, help me succeed in the exams,” and you succeed.
The second form of answered prayer is that God averts harm from you. For example, your request may not be granted , meaning you did not succeed In exams , but God removed from you a harm equal to or greater than that.
the third form is that God saves the reward for you in the Hereafter because of this demand — instead of giving you something in this world, He stores it for you.
much so that on the Day of Judgment, when you see the reward stored because of unanswered prayers, you will say: “O Lord, I wish You had never answered any of my prayers or fulfilled any of my needs, because of the great reward I am seeing now.”
If you ask God and your request includes the conditions for asking God, such as lawful sustenance and focus, then God will not answer from a heedless, distracted heart
I have spoken about the conditions of supplication in a previous video.
But what form does the answer take? It might be that your need was fulfilled — like the children being healed, or their pain reduced — or maybe the children’s pain wasn’t relieved and they faced a problem; that’s a test. But certainly the prayer was answered.
If you say: “How was my prayer answered when the children died?” I say to you: yes, but a calamity was lifted from you that could’ve been greater, or a calamity you don’t know about was removed.
If you say: “But then another calamity came upon me.”
I say: Perhaps God has hidden rewards for you because of your prayers, for example, 6000 requests in exchange for 6000 rewards. And God knows best the extent of the reward.
But you are confusing answering a prayer with fulfilling a need.
Fulfilling the need now is not necessary. The Prophet told us that prayer is answered in one of these three ways: either your need is fulfilled, or harm is diverted away from you, or the reward is stored for you.

من أسباب لجوء بعض الناس إلى الإلحاد قولهم: “كنتُ في محنة، دعوتُ الله وتضرّعتُ إليه، لكنه لم يُجبني. مات أبنائي، وواجه والدي مشكلة، مع أن الله وعد باستجابة الدعاء”.
لذا انتابني شكٌّ كبير، فتركتُ الدين.

أيها الإخوة، هناك نقطةٌ يجب أن نفهمها، وهي أن هناك فرقًا بين استجابة الدعاء وقضاء الحاجة.
الله يستجيب الدعاء قطعًا، ما دام الدعاء صحيحًا، فإنه يُستجاب.
لكن لاستجابة الدعاء ثلاثة أشكال:
أولها قضاء الحاجة، كأن يقول المرء: “اللهم أعنّي على النجاح في الامتحانات”، فينجح.
ثاني أشكال استجابة الدعاء هو أن يدفع الله عنك مكروهًا. على سبيل المثال، قد لا يُستجاب لدعائك، أي أنك لم تُوفق في الامتحانات، لكن الله قد أبعد عنك ضررًا مساويًا أو أكبر من ذلك.
والشكل الثالث هو أن الله يدخر لك الأجر في الآخرة بسبب هذا الطلب – فبدلًا من أن يُعطيك شيئًا في الدنيا، يدخره لك.
حتى أنك يوم القيامة، عندما ترى الأجر المدخر بسبب الدعاء الذي لم يُستجب، ستقول: “يا رب، ليتك لم تستجب لي شيئًا من دعائي ولم تُقضِ لي شيئًا من حاجتي، لما أراه من أجر عظيم”.
إذا سألت الله وكان طلبك يتضمن شروط الدعاء، كالرزق الحلال والتركيز، فلن يستجيب الله من قلب غافل مشتت.
لقد تحدثتُ عن شروط الدعاء في فيديو سابق.
ولكن كيف يكون شكل الاستجابة؟ قد تكون قضاء حاجتك – كشُفي الأطفال أو خفَّت آلامهم – أو ربما لم تُخفَّ آلامهم وواجهوا مشكلة؛ هذا اختبار. لكن الدعاء قد استُجيب بالتأكيد.
إذا قلتَ: “كيف استُجيب دعائي عندما مات الأولاد؟” أقول لك: نعم، ولكن رُفعت عنك مصيبة كانت ستكون أشد، أو أُزيلت عنك مصيبة لم تكن تعلم بها.
إذا قلتَ: “ثم حلت بي مصيبة أخرى.”
أقول: لعل الله قد أخفى لك أجراً بسبب دعائك، مثلاً، ستة آلاف دعاء مقابل ستة آلاف أجر. والله أعلم بمدى الأجر.
لكنك تخلط بين استجابة الدعاء وقضاء الحاجة.
قضاء الحاجة الآن ليس ضرورياً. أخبرنا النبي أن الدعاء يُستجاب بإحدى هذه الطرق الثلاث: إما قضاء الحاجة، أو دفع الضرر عنك، أو ادخار الأجر لك.
